We live in a world of mental noise, a continuous stream of chatter and input with much of it coming from us.
“Why can’t I make more money? How can I get the phones to ring again? What did I do wrong…what did I do right and how can I do it again?”
Yet my dog Jasper does not second-guess himself. He doesn’t find himself stuck on why he didn’t catch that squirrel or what caused the walk to be shorter.
He has no self-judgment that gets in his way of achieving the goal in front of him right now.
Can we all be a bit more like Jasper—or your dog—in 2014? (Or your cat? That’s a story for a different day.)
In our last few email chats, I’ve encouraged you to tackle several questions so that in 2014 you are as clear as Jasper about your goal.
Now I want you to imagine something else, a new and enlightening way to think and work on your business.
Do you know how to create a $10,000 Day? How about doing it regularly?
I want you to map out the perfect sales day: a day in which you are in service to your customers and prospects.
A day in which you bring in $10,000 worth of real business. A day in which you get credit card numbers and have people put checks in the mail.
A day in which your very focused efforts are rewarded with $10,000 in sales (and if $10,000 doesn’t do it for you, you pick your number).
Now I want you to begin to ponder on what must happen for you to line up such a day.
Please notice I did not ask you HOW you would orchestrate this day, rather what must happen.
It’s not impossible. It’s not a pipe dream. It’s not make-believe.
Here are the first two steps to making it happen:
-> Don’t let self-judgment get in your way.
-> Jasper sees his bone. You can see your $10,000 day, too.
Take a good look. See it happening. Now that’s a joyful sight.
Go forth and do great things,
Martha Hanlon and Chris Williams
