“Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.” William Butler Yeats
WB Yeats, I love the way you think!
More perfect direction for 2015 would be hard to find—make your iron hot by striking…stop waiting for it to get hot.
So do you want to hear the one wish we would love to see come true for you in 2015?
It’s a good one. Ready for it?…
Next year at this exact moment, our wish is that you’ll send us a personal email that reads something like this:
“Martha and Chris…I hope you’re sitting down. I did it! I just hit my profit goal for 2015! The path we laid out…and I executed…took me straight to my goal. This year has been life-changing for me, and I’m only getting started.”
Nice note.
Write it right now. Send it to us January 11, 2016.
Now here’s how you get there, how you do it. Here’s the deal…we know in our gut you are already doing great things in this world, and if you didn’t “crush it” last year as you had planned, it’s not your fault.
Most of us fail not because our intentions are flawed.
We fail because our process is flawed.
Your process may be flawed because your customers changed…and you didn’t see it coming. Maybe you’ve lost touch with what motivates your customers…they do change, you know.
Or perhaps your process is flawed because your sequence is out of alignment with how your customers think and act…and doing things out of order will always produce a struggle.
The good news?
Your process can change…there’s a smarter, more meaningful path to your goal.
And that path starts by understanding what motivates your customer right now, by thinking like your customer…not like a sales person…. by knowing the difference between what you’re selling and what they are seeking to buy (Hint: it has nothing to do with your services).
And here’s the rest of our wish for you…do something about it in 2015. Change your business by changing how you get and keep customers. Start thinking like your customers.
My fingers are crossed that your “crushed it” email arrives in my email box next year at this time. We’ll be watching for it.
Go forth and do great things,
Martha Hanlon and Chris Williams
P.S. Oh, you can begin to “unflaw” your process…with guidance…right now. Let’s make your iron hot by striking now!
