Day after day, our businesses can cover us with the metaphorical dust and grit of what we plow through.

Dust and grit weigh us down, and then we think and scheme and problem-solve.  We worry if it will all work out as we want, if it’s even the right thing to do…which just adds to the dust and grit we wear.

This might be why you feel you have no time, your business feels heavy and your goals just out of reach.

You must be able to put something rare in your schedule, your life.

Quieting.

Quiet enables us to get up and do it again.

Thanksgiving is a quieting.

Spend time with your loved ones.  Give thanks for them in your life.  Reach out to someone who needs a little bit of you.  Perhaps just a kiss or a hug to help them find their quiet.

Maybe something bigger like a pup in a shelter who needs your love.  Or a family unable to put food on the table every day, not to mention for a Thanksgiving feast.

Whenever you feel pressed to figure things out, when you rethink and rethink and rethink, rest.  Get quiet.

The real, valuable, resourceful, giving you will break through.

From Chris and me; may your Thanksgiving (or Thursday if you don’t celebrate) be filled with love and light and quiet.

Go forth and do great things.
