Chris and I have been doing a little work this week “on” our business.

We’re in Phoenix in a small, intimate workshop to get some of our business straightened out.  There are five other businesses here, too, doing the same thing.

And guess what?

At least three of those companies present affiliation opportunities for us!

They fit all the criteria for a good affiliate partner:

  • They already have our Ideal Customer
  • What they do complements what we do
  • We don’t compete with each other

Now, I’m not sharing this with you to crow or toot our own horn.

I’m sharing as an example to you in your business.

Affiliations for your business are everywhere.  Everywhere.

Here’s the thing about affiliations for your business:  a few really good ones will bring you business really quickly.

Anybody out there want some new business?

Here’s what I’d like you to do…

  1. Within two days of reading this, put together a list of businesses who fit the criteria for a good affiliate partner.
  2. Don’t worry about gathering all their details, maybe not even the business name, just the best industry for you to align with as a minimum.
  3. Then start to flesh out the list. Name names.  Get specific through a little research, if you must.
  4. Finally, within one day of having your first affiliate name, call them and open the conversation.

You see…your business doesn’t have to be hard.  A few small changes will make things much, much easier for you.

Things you can do (and stop doing) so your love/hate relationship with your business begins to lean towards love again.

Things you can do that actually work, and they are easy to do.  You don’t have to fuss with systems you don’t understand, or strategies that you’ve never worked with before.

Things that make your business simpler, easier…

Things that enable you to recover some of that sacred, personal time you feel you’ve lost

This isn’t “too good to be true.”

It works.

Then you do it.

If this is the business you want…simpler, easier, money coming in, loving your business again, and rediscovering time for yourself, start with affiliations.

It works.

Go forth and do great things,

Martha Hanlon and Chris Williams
