Pick Me

November 18, 2020

“Pick me!  Pick me!”

A coaching client was conveying how she felt during a recent sales opportunity with a new prospect.  She said she felt like the puppy in the kennel asking to be the one brought home.

We laughed because we all do this at some time.

Your inner confusion takes over.  You forget all your gifts and talents and slide into being smaller than you truly are. You feel what you have to offer may not be recognized or that our talents are less than.  Sometimes it even smells a little desperate.

To make matter worse, you might start to hide some parts of who you are, what your company represents.  You know, the parts you feel the prospect may not appreciate.  If they truly knew who you are…well, you tell yourself, they won’t say YES.

Nonsense.

Your prospects and clients cannot blossom with just a sliver of you.

Stand in your full self.  Connect with all your gifts and talents.  Right your shoulders and proudly be every bit of your wonderful, powerful self.

Go forth and do great things,
