Don't wait until it's perfect to release it to your customers.

You know who you are.

You’re hold back from launching your product or service because it “isn’t ready yet” for customers as it’s not perfect yet.

You’re not ready to put your book out because it’s “not perfect yet.”

Your workshop needs more work.  It’s not perfect yet.

My dear Perfectionist, your sincere desire to hand your customers a “perfect” product is actually doing you…and them…a grave injustice.

You see…

Whatever you’re working on CANNOT be perfect UNTIL you put it in the market, and customers give you input.

Which they will…directly and very indirectly.  So pay attention!

Just because you like/love something does not mean your customers will feel the same way.

I’m asking you here to shed your Perfectionist attitude as it will not serve you, or your customer.

I have a different attitude for you to put on.

Excellence.

Replace perfection with excellence.

Excellence means you’ve considered the customer, their wants and needs.  You believe you’ve created…and launched…a program that is excellent in its design and, more importantly, outcome.

Excellence means you are ready to learn from what customers tell you through their actions…or inactions.

Excellence means you’ll take the feedback, both direct and uber-subtle, and make adjustments.

Excellence means you’re willing to shelve something that is just not working, learn from it, make it better and try again.

Your move towards excellence will enable you to continue to commit to great programs and enable you to move faster, learn quicker, make money faster and in the end, serve your customers better.
