Have you heard that old saying, “Timing is everything”?
It’s true…in business and in life. There is a natural rhythm and sequence to things. There are some uncomfortable experiences and lessons that naturally come before certain more positive experiences.
Keeping this in mind can help get you through those uncomfortable or difficult moments.
Here’s what I mean:
- You embrace change so that you can learn to let go.
- Things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they go right.
- You believe lies so eventually you’ll learn to recognize the truth within you.
- Before the beginning of great brilliance there must be chaos.
- You have to step out of your comfort zone if you are going to go anywhere new.
- If you believe in your limitations, you’ll never grow beyond them.
- And somehow good things fall apart so that better things can fall together.
We’re at that time of the year when reflection and reevaluation should be on your calendar. It’s time to look back so that you can set your sights forward to the coming year.
Success leaves clues. In a spirit of grateful reflection and positive anticipation, look back at all the times your timing has been perfect. Ask yourself these questions:
What did you let go of that needed to be released?
What’s gone right…and why?
When did you trust your instincts despite what others said … and reap the rewards?
How much chaos set you spinning…and what great brilliance took its place?
What decision did you make that moved you forward… because you no longer wanted to stay where you were?
Did you remain stuck in your limiting beliefs? Or did you decide to break through and grow?
Which good things fell apart…what great things fell together to replace them?
For an even better year next year, examine this year. Be grateful for the divine timing that brought you those first uncomfortable moments so that you could reap the rewards on the other side.
Timing is everything. Take the lessons from 2023 to prepare you for a successful 2024.
