affiliate relationships analyzedAfter this month’s on-going conversation about all the pluses for you in creating affiliations, I thought I’d dig into some analytics to support this approach.

So, I looked at all the affiliations Wide Awake Business has, or tried to set up, in addition to the affiliations our clients have been involved in.

Here are the results of this unscientific, yet useful digging:

About 2-to-3 affiliations out of 10 are fruitful.

In other words, about 20-to-30% of your efforts should result in a productive, profitable affiliation relationship.

At first pass, this doesn’t sound super encouraging, particularly if you close a greater number of individual prospects into your business.

At first, this felt like working just a little too hard…the thing we are totally devoted to eliminating (unnecessary hard work, that is).

The gold was in the next question

What did you get from those few good, prolific affiliations?

Get ready for the answers:

“I built my entire million-dollar business on them.”

“I get over 50% of my business from my affiliates.”

“My affiliations net me easy and extra money because the affiliate delivers the service; all I have to do is bring my database and cash the check.”

“I would have no…actually little…business without them.”

You want me to continue, or do you see what I see?

A consistent, determined plan to find and bring affiliations into your world produces business growth.  It’s often easier than anything else a business owner can do.

If this is the business you want…simpler, easier, money coming in, loving your business again, and rediscovering time for yourself, start with affiliations.

It works.

Go forth and do great things,

Martha Hanlon and Chris Williams

P.S.  Remember we’re talking about affiliations here, not pure referrals from friends, family and colleagues.
