I just couldn’t let go.

I was working for a horrible company years (and years) ago.  There just wasn’t much good about them.  Yet, I stayed and stayed because I felt I needed to be there for my staff, to make a bad situation less bad.

In truth, I was really sitting smack in the center of a dead-end.

You’re probably experiencing at least one dead-end right now.

Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you work and work and work, yet nothing changes.

Nothing improves.  Nothing gets worse.  It just “is.”

I think that’s why people call it a dead-end.

When you hit a dead-end, your little old brain gets in the way.

You keep working through the dead-end because you were taught to “never give up!”  “Keep pushing!!”  “Success is right around the corner.”

Sometimes.

And sometimes your dead-end is just that.  The end.

Dead-ends keep you from doing something else.  Something that will lead to more reward.

Dead-ends keep you from doing the best you can do.  Not the “it’s as good as it gets” thing.

You’re the one keeping you stuck in a dead-end.  What dead-end are you living in?

And are you ready to move on from it, so you can go do your best?

Go forth and do great things,
