Find peace with more customersThe U.S. military budget for this year comes in at a cool $633 billion.  By comparison, the United Nations’ peacekeeping budget slides in at $7.8 billion.

So my country will spend 81 times more to wage war than the U.N. will spend to make peace.  And I certainly believe results would be stronger if the ratio were reversed.  But, hey, who listens to me?

Might it be possible that you, too, are spending your money and time in the wrong place?

Perhaps not putting your efforts and money on the very things that will deliver stronger results?

Waging an accidental war on your business instead of embracing peace?

At least for the next few weeks, how about placing a greater emphasis on cultivating better results by putting your money and sweat equity on the right things—things that create harmony in your business?

Things like being of service to customers and prospects (service being a code-ish word for sales), getting out of your house to network with possible customers, picking up the business cards on your desk to follow up, collecting the monies customers still owe you (I’m always stunned by how many people tell me this), and going out to get the team you really need.

You know, things of higher value to your business than mulling over what else your product requires, thinking about making changes to your website (without actually acting on anything), waiting for prospects to call you, visiting the refrigerator or cleaning the house.

In other words, stop waging war on your business.  Make peace instead.  Cultivate cooperation and harmony with the actions that will make a big difference in your business.

Namaste.

Go forth and do great things,
