We all have these moments when the rose loses its color for some unknown reason, when we can’t hear the music, when our path seems overgrown.
Certainly, things and people change. Your business and your customers change. You change.
And that change of our “norm” moves us into a fog. Nothing seems as it was or is supposed to be.
And, man, that fog is frustrating.
It becomes torture, though, when we believe the clouds will never part, we will never see clearly again…like we’ve lost the path forever.
This can be that time of the year when the fog is the densest. We have 3 ½ months left to make our year. And, honestly, a strong end-of-year will also produce a great start to the new year.
Yet, what actions we should take seems hidden in the fog.
With answers to a few simple questions, you can outlast the murkiness…outwit the haze that clouds our vision and causes us to stumble through the bramble.
- What is my goal between now and December 31?
- Knowing my goal…putting other distractions aside…what path will get me there the fastest?
- What is your fastest path to cash, to customers, to more free time, to more team, to more money in your pocket, to giving back…to whatever your goal is?
We all have fogs that roll in. But in just a few quiet moments contemplating these questions, the answers will come.
And the fog will clear.
Go forth and do great things,
Martha Hanlon and Chris Williams
