Happy New Year!

Now that the holiday decorations are all put away and the last of the holiday treats have been eaten, it’s time to look ahead to 2023.

Let’s do it with some new math.

Why 8%?  An amazing 92% of people who set New Year’s goals never actually achieve them? According to research by the University of Scranton, just 8% of people achieve the success that they set their sights on in January.

What will make this year successful for you? Have you already made a resolution, set a goal, chosen a theme word or focus?

Whatever you’re aiming for, we’ll bet it has something to do with making your business easier, simpler, or more profitable…or maybe all three!

So, when does 3 + 3 = 8%?

When you take 3 Pillars of Leadership and make sure each pillar is supported by 3 Essential Elements, you can end up in the 8% of highly successful people. The ones who achieve the goals they set for the coming year.

f you want to be in that 8%, to be the most successful leader and business owner you can be, make sure that you are addressing these three Pillars of Leadership:

Your Self…..Your Team…..Your Legacy.

Leaders who fall into that 8% understand that success is like a three-legged stool.  Make one leg too long or another too short and the stool will wobble. Ignore one leg entirely and the stool will not be able to stand at all.

Give each of the 3 Pillars the right share of attention and your stool will stand firmly to support your success.

In each area of leadership, make sure you consider these three essential elements:

  • Clarity – set a goal that is clear and specific. Have a firm picture in mind of how you will measure success and what will tell you if you are getting off-track. Make certain that everyone on the team has the same understanding of where you are aiming and of their role in getting there. With clarity and team effort, your business becomes easier.
  • Commitment – The most successful business owners we know are the ones who have the strongest commitment to their end goal. Being willing to stick with the effort despite the distractions and difficulties is a hallmark of success. People often abandon their goals if they are fuzzy, unclear, or over-complicated. That’s where simpler comes in!
  • Consistency – Being consistent is an important element in building trust in your business, your brand, and your personal relationships. It requires sustained, consistent effort to push toward any goal. If you are not consistent in following the practices and processes that lead to your goal, you may lose momentum or fall behind. When you consistently meet the milestones and hit the mark, your business will become more profitable.

If you are ready to make 2023 your most successful year yet, follow the 3 + 3 = 8% equation. We’ll be right here supporting you and cheering you on.

Blessings,

Chris
