What McDonald's reminded its competitors to tell their customers.

I don’t think I’ve walked into a McDonald’s since 1982.

I’m excluding the time last year my friend who was driving (so what control did I have?) took us through the drive-in for lunch.

I was forced, so it doesn’t count.

Despite my lack of hands-on experience…shall we say…with their products, I do admire their adaptability.

And we can actually learn something from their adaptability.

Just a month ago McDonald’s announced they would now serve breakfast all day long. While they should have gotten that message years ago, at least they finally caught on.

Now keep watching. LOTS of the other fast food chains have begun to tell us the same thing. WE SERVE BREAKFAST ALL DAY LONG!!

The sorry part is many of those competitors have been doing it for a long time.

Lesson 1 We Can Learn from This Turn of Events:

If you have a competitive advantage (and you do), TELL ME ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME!! All the time. Don’t wait for a competitor to boast about something you’ve been doing all along.

What is your Super Power? That your customers really, really want?

Tell them about it. All the time.

All the time.

Go forth and do great things,
Martha Hanlon and Chris Williams

P.S. Let me role model for you. Our Super Power is we show you exactly how to get and keep customers, eliminating the stuff that’s not working for a sequence specific to your business…and customers.
