Want to know the real reason you’re crushing your revenue number…or why you’re behind?
Look at your calendar. What did you do last week?
How much time did you spend on sales?
How much time did you spend on marketing?
If the answers are “not too much,” …which we find is the usual answer…I’m going to hand you a tool today that will enable you to change your evil ways!
We’re going to see…on average…where you spend your time using the tool above.
- First, how many hours—on average—do you spend on your business each week? Don’t get all analytical figuring this out, and don’t say “it depends.” The question is “on average.” Fill in the box at the top left. If you work part-time, then the answer might be 10 or 20 hours. If you work full time, the answer might be 40 or 50 hours…or 70. Give it your best estimate.
- Next, fill in each of the five segments. How many hours do you spend—on average–
1. Working on strategy and planning? Thinking and planning at a high level. Analyzing what’s working and not and plotting strategic adjustments.
2. On revenue producing activities—and let me be clear: THESE ACTIVITIES PRODUCE REVENUE AT LEAST SOME OF THE TIME. Like calling prospects and running sales campaigns into your database. If you say you don’t have anyone to call, look at the next question.
3. On marketing? Where your customer hangs out. And if your marketing isn’t producing any results, this time is admin time, not marketing. If you have no prospects or revenue producing activities, you’re probably not marketing, are you?
4. Creating new products/services, or delivering what you’ve sold? How much time do you spend answering customer questions and providing the product/service you sold?
5. With admin issues. Answering emails, paying bills. That kind of stuff. How many hours?
6. This last category usually throws people. It seems illogical to ask how much personal time do you spend when this section is about business hours. Yet, most people do spend personal time during the hours they allocate for business. For example, if I’m stuck on something, I might call my sister just to chat. That happens during my “allocated” business hours. Maybe your refrigerator calls you, or you take your child to an after-school activity, or you run out to the store…during your allocated business hours. Personal time needs to be recognized and accounted for in your business week.
Now take a look at your results.
Might not look as pretty as you’d like.
Can we show you how to change it? Not add anything more. Probably take some things OFF your plate. Get you doing the right things with better results…probably in less time?
It’s fr*ee. Will only happen LIVE. And you can grab your seat for our call here.
