Sophia is going to have a heart attack.
At least that’s what she’s telling me as we sit together on the phone, with her P&L statement for the three months of 2018 crinkled in front of her.
Sophia is a new client (name changed to protect everyone). She’s the CEO, lead sales person, primary business developer and order taker for her business.
What business? Nothing has arrived.
So, Sophia’s having a heart attack, which gratefully turns out to be more of a metaphorical attack, because I really like Sophia, whom I met about 15 minutes ago.
Sophia has three kids, a cop husband and a business that’s giving her trouble.
Frankly, her business needs a Business Make-over Adjustment.
She’s built her business solely on referrals, and there have been few…
…because she just waits for them to happen…and they’re not. (Happening, that is) …rather than creating a plan to ACTIVELY create referrals.
